Q(kVAR) = P (kW) * tan(φ) If you know the power factor then, Q (kVAR) = P (kW) * tan(cos-1 (pf)) Example: Calculate the reactive power in kVAR for the 7.5 kW motor-operated 0.9pf. kVAR = 7.5 x tan (cos-1 (pf)) = 7.5 x tan (cos-1 (0.9)) = 7.5 x tan (25.84193276) = 7.5 x 0.4843221 = 3.6kVAR. kW to kVAR Conversion chart: Look at the table of kW
Designedto be non-flammable. Doesn’t make any high frequency. Lower power consumption. MY-PS-7.5 model is suitable for a 5HP motor. (3.7kW, 15 amps) DPS should be used for one motor only. The use of multiple motors is not allowed in our DPS. The input voltage should be 220V. The output voltage of DPS is 200V-240V.
Threephase: 415V/715V; Maximum Amps draw: 20.9Amps Our store carries a large range of motors (single phase and 3 phase) and consumables to suit most residential, industrial and commercial needs. Check out both our retail and online store for more products. Wholesales is available. kW: r/min: A % Cosφ
Customer 7500 watts at 240 volt SINGLE phase is 31.25 amps (watts divided by volts)---7500 watts / 208 volts=36.06 times 1.732 is= 62.46 amps----shouldn't the amperage on 3 phase be lower than single phase ??? Jason : Now that I look at it again, I believe we are both misapplying the formula.

Toconvert amps to kVA in a single-phase power system, you can use the formula S = I × V / 1000 where the amperage (I) is in amperes, the voltage (V) is in volts, and the resulting apparent power (S) is in kilovolt-amperes or kVA. On the other hand, for the 3-phase system, you can use S = I × V × √3 / 1000 for line-to-line voltage and S
