Incidentally, business class on Blue Star costs about the same as economy class on Hellenic Seaways highspeeds. With the highspeeds you get to Santorini in about 4½ hours, and all seats are reserved. Economy seats on the highspeeds are also very spacious. The only ferries I've used that have cramped seating are the smaller flying cats.
I'm going to paste the Blue Star section here, to save keyboarding. if you face a 5-6hour+ Blue Star Ferry trip to Piraeus from Naxos or Paros, spend 4-5€ extra for “Economy Reserved” (Aircraft Seat) in the “Airline Seat Sections”(about €50? vs €45? for Plain Economy).
