From the data I've seen, typical degradation ranges from 5-15% of overall capacity after 5 years (1-3%/yr) and then levels off to fractions of that for the remaining life. This data was based off of time and not mileage. At 25,000 mi/yr you may approach those degradation numbers sooner.

Got my first hybrid after 20+ years of ice only cars from Toyota, Honda and Subaru. Now have a new 21 rav4 hybrid limited after 4 months of waiting. Toyota has been in the hyrbid tech world for almost 25 years, their technology is the best in the industry and utterly bulletproof with hybrid batteries now having 100k warranties.
IIRC you can replace the battery in a Prius for under $1000 these days and they're warrantied for at least 160,000km, with a good percentage of them lasting multiple times that. For comparisons sake, a Golf needs a DSG service costing that much every 60,000km. You'll do that several times before an equivalent Prius battery needs replacement.
